We are published authors of language development and oral motor therapy programs for articulation. We have conducted seminars and training sessions for speech pathologists and other professionals in the area of accent reduction and oral motor therapy.
Harriet Pehde is a nationally certified and California State licensed Speech Pathologist and is trained Oral Facial Myology. She received a Masters Degree in Communicative Disorders from California State University Northridge in 1977. With over 30 years of experience in the field with children and adults, she has worked in schools, hospitals, clinics and private practice. Harriet was also a Drama major before going into the field of speech pathology. It was the love of doing the vocal exercises and working with the different aspects of voice that inspired her to become a speech pathologist. Harriet used her theater training to develop a drama program for disabled students. This endeavor won the California Speech and Hearing Association Program of the Year Award. In addition Harriet was recently the recipient of the California Speech and Hearing Association’s award for Outstanding Achievement.
Ann Geller is a California State Licensed and Nationally Certified Speech Pathologist and is trained in Oral Facial Myology. She has over 25 years experience working with children and adults in schools, hospitals, colleges and in private practice. Her voice and diction training began when she was a student of Edith Skinner at Carnegie Mellon’s Drama Department. Her theater training enabled her to develop unique approaches to improving voice and speech production in her clients. Her high professional standards have earned her the California Speech and Hearing Association’s award for Outstanding Achievement.
